Archos Child Pad Coming to Charm Your Kids; Get the 7-inch Ice Cream Sandwich Slate for $129

Looking for a good tablet for your kids? You may no have to wait for long one to pick one. Archos is ready with an absolute kid-friendly Android tablet, christened Child Pad. The small lightweight tablet comes with parental controls that promise more safety for you child.

The Child Pad sports a 7-inch touch-sensitive display that allows the child to play on the tablet with ease. Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.

The most interesting part is the slate is powered by the Google’s latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Along with the Android 4.0, the tablet comes with a kid-friendly user interface designed with colored icons, home screen folders for direct accessing to games, entertainment, learning and puzzles. The UI is also pre-loaded with the top 28 kids’ apps such as Angry Birds, Pig Rush and Flight Frenzy.

The Child Pad also offers a Kids App Store run by AppsLib. The App Store consists of 14-friendly categories and 10,000 apps for games, entertainment, communication, multimedia, books, comics, sports and more.

For your kid’s safety, the tablet is designed in accordance with the CIPA and COPPA regulations. The slate’s parental controls and safe web browsing feature have been built by Editions Profil, famous for its Mobile Parental Filter software.
