Katy Perry is intruding the 3D screen with a concert film based on her life produced by Paramount films. The film, which started production around a year ago, will be releasing on 5th of July 2012. We need to expect a total outlook on the on and of screen life of the diva through her stage shows.
The film will mainly portray the 2011 California Dreams tour and other major events by Perry last year. Titled ‘Katy Perry; Part of me’ after her latest single “Part of me” which topped the “Billboard’s hot 100” this February, the flick is co-produced by Perry and be directed by Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth.
The director duo had earlier created Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. They co-produced and distributed the film on a budget of $13 million, which eventually collected over $100 million globally.
The 27-year-old Katy Perry, who is excited about the project has been quoted as saying that the film will reveal the highs and lows of this extraordinary ride. “I promise you, after seeing this film, you will truly know me,” he said.
Her last album withParamountteenage drama has produced hits such as Firework, California Gurls and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).
The trailer of the film seems promising, and hints that the work traces her from the times of her religious upbringing to her break up with actor Russell Brand. The trailer has also included a tour footage, in which she yells at the audience “Thank you so much for believing in my weirdness.”
We will love to see the story of how a conservative girl turned out to be one of the most successful prima donna of the time. There is no doubt that it will be a treat for her burgeoning fan base around the world.
