In an effort to promote healthy eating,Amway,India’s largest direct selling FMCG Company hosted a ‘Nutrilite Protein Recipe Contest’ at a national level. The objective behind the initiative was to encourage healthy eating habit besides inspiring homemakers to include necessary protein required in the diet. Mrs Alice James from Kerala was crowned winner of the Nutrilite Protein Recipe Contest by Master Chef Pankaj Bhadouria.
Based on cookery skills, few aspiring chefs from the region (southernIndia) were selected to compete in the final round. They were given the task of preparing innovative recipes using Nutrilite protein powder as one of the ingredients in an hours’ time. Nutritionist & Chef Pankaj Bhadouria of Master Chef India Season One fame and author of Master Chef India Cookbook adjudged the contest. Talking about the contest, James, the winner of the ‘Nutrilite Protein Recipe Contest said, “I am grateful to Amway for having given me an opportunity to participate in such an innovative contest giving me a platform to prove my culinary skills. It was indeed a challenge to create a delicious dish yet keeping up with the nutrition quotient.”
