Thiruvananthapuram: Ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan was presented with the first Loyola Global Leadership Award, instituted by the Loyola Old Boys Association (LOBA), at a grand function in Thiruvananthapuram.
At an event organised by LOBA at the Sree Mulam Club on Friday, Santhosh Sivan received the Loyola Global Leadership Award from T P Srinivasan, former Permanent Representative of India to the UN and former Ambassador in the presence of K S Sabarinathan MLA, an alumnus of the Loyola School.
Apart from the Loyola Global Leadership Award presentation, LOBA also announced a Loyola Welfare Initiative, under which it aims to launch schemes like health insurance, pension schemes, etc. for staff – teaching and non-teaching, serving as well as retired.
LOBA would generate funds from within so as to fund all its schemes. The logo for the welfare initiative was released at the function, with Father Verghese Anikkuzhi handing it over Father Devassy Paul.
