Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism’s international photography contest on the theme ‘Kerala’ will end on December 31. The total cash award for the contest, which has attracted 4,432 shutterbugs from nearly 40 countries, is Rs 15 lakh.
“Photographers internationally have responded enthusiastically and with a creative and unique vision, to the contest, which showcases the beauty of Kerala,” said Tourism Minister AP Anil Kumar.
The contest, organised by the Kerala Tourism website www.keralatourism.org, offers Rs 5 lakh as the top prize. The second and third prizes are Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively, with five consolation prizes of Rs 1 lakh each.
Each contestant is allowed three entries. The photographs should be original, with the participant holding its copyright. The submissions must have a minimum of 1000 pixels, but not exceed 3000 pixels in height or width.
The photographs should be saved as jpegs (.jpg), and not exceed 4MB per file, at 72dpi resolution. Digitally manipulated photographs will be disqualified.
