Thiruvananthapuram: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), the administrative body of temples including the world famous Lord Ayyappa temple in Kerala, will set up a Veda-Vedanta-Vedic College in the capital city.
Inaugurating the centenary celebrations of Sree Ramakrishna Matom , TDB President Prayar Gopalakrishnan said the new college at Shanghumugham would be set up in association with the Vivekananda University, Kolkata.
The board is planning to set up a sub-centre of the university for conducting profound studies on Vedas. Pilgrims from 30 countries had reached Sabarimala during the previous Mandalam and Makaravilakku seasons. The vedic college has been mooted in view of their desire, he said.
