What’s in a name, goes the adage. But in tinsel world, an apt title matters the most. Malayalam films had been given interesting names since its nascent stage. In director Kamal’s “Celluloid”, a biopic on JC Daniel, the main plot revolves around Daniel’s struggles to create the first Malayalam feature film, “Vigathakumaran.” Interestingly, for the new breed of movie buffs the meaning of “Vigathakumaran” remained a puzzle until they combed the Wikipedia to find that it means “The Lost Child”.
During the 80s, we had film titles that left an imprint in the minds of the viewers, due to the dollop of literary or romanticism stapled with them. There were also titles that announced the philosophy of life. But such titles have become passé or rare.
Let’s have a glance through some riveting titles of upcoming movies in Malayalam.

Let’s wait to see if the film has shown justice to its title.
