Kozhikode: Public sector Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) launched third-of- its-kind Business Incubation Centre at UL Cyber Park here today.
The 4,000 sq.ft centre aimed at accommodating up to 82 entrepreneurs and is fully equipped with all amenities and assistance, was inaugurated by Industries Minister A.C. Moideen at a function presided over by Dr. M.K. Muneer, MLA.
The other incubation centres were Infopark, Kochi and INKEL Tower Angamaly. The Centre will be equipped with high speed internet connection, centralized air conditioning, conference rooms, surveillance cameras and other form of assistance.
KSIDC has leased the land from UL Cyber Park for five years and Companies carrying a portfolio in IT or IT related operations are given access.
KSIDC also extend its support to various colleges in Kerala to setup Incubation Centres on its own and thus help promoting and encouraging entrepreneurship among students.
Recently, a centre was established at Government College, Karyavattom, sources informed Kozhikode Mayor Thottathil Ravindran, KSIDC Managing Director Dr. Beena and General Manager K.G. Ajith Kumar, among others, were present.
