Two Kerala Students Pedal 860km for A Cause

Thiruvananthapuram: Two students of College of Engineering (CET) here pedaled on their bicycles 860km to create awareness on autism.

As  part of a State-wide campaign, Muhamed Musadhiq and Gopikrishnan. S started their journey on their bicycles from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram at a stretch in four days.

The journey, which concluded on Sunday, was part of the social activities of CET Cycling Club. In the first week of April, Trivandrum Autism Club organised an awareness rally, announcing the need of acceptance from people towards children afflicted with autism.

Taking a cue from this programme, the CET Cycling Club decided to oraganise the campaign “Let’s accept the reality, autism is not a disease” this month, which is observed as autism acceptance month.

The awareness programmes in each district were arranged by the representatives of the Autism Club. The students scheduled their journey according to it.
