Nitish Kumar Advocates for Strong Oppn Unity

Kochi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today stressed the need for a strong opposition unity to check the run of the BJP.

Talking to media here, he said, “If there is opposition unity, the BJP will not be able to succeed and if there is disintegrated opposition they may succeed.’’ “We are working hard for attaining our goal for larger opposition unity which will strengthen the democracy”.

Making it clear that the JD (U) was opposed to the BJP ideology, the Bihar Chief Minister said, “We have our action programme, or own agenda and I have always asked the other political parties also to emulate us.’’

“We should have our own agenda and should work for that. And we should not go for reacting every day on their (BJP) agenda. It will help them,’’ Kumar said. When pointed about the success of BJP in States and continued supremacy, he said ‘’I don’t think so.’’
