Kozhikode: The first state-of-the-art IT building, “Sahya,” of Cyberpark will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on May 29 at 3pm. The 2, 88,000 sq.ft IT building is expected to create myriad job opportunities for IT professionals.
Presently, the admin block of Cyberpark had been hosting four IT companies of which Aufait Technologies has already taken space in the new building.
The other charter companies of “Sahya” are Vinam IT and Mini Mailster. The first floor has been developed as the Smart Business Centre with plug and play facility with 19 units ranging from 12 seats to 42 seats. The top three floors will be leased out as warm shell spaces.
“For us, the priority is to make this first IT building fully occupational. We are receiving lot of enquiries from companies in the region and also companies based especially in the GCC countries for space in Cyberpark. The basic facilities like robust infrastructure, excellent digital connectivity, in-house power distribution, 100% power back up with an eco-friendly environment is all in place for companies to start operations,” said Kerala IT Parks CEO Hrishikesh Nair.
“We are in the process of creating additional 6,000 sq.ft of IT built-up space for startup companies as second phase development. We are also working on creating recreational facilities to the IT employees in the park and also facilitate cloud service, Wi-Fi on the campus. To manage the natural resources, we are setting up Solar Roof Top panels, rain water harvesting supply system and effective waste management system,” he added.
Kozhikode has been ranked second best city in India to reside in terms of residence, earnings and investments by Indicus Analytics. ASSOCHAM has ranked it 11th among Tier 2 cities in job creation.
