Chennai: Tamil Actor Ajith, popularly known as “Thala” in Kollywood, was injured on the set of his new film “Vivegam.”
According to reports, the actor sustained a shoulder injury while performing an action sequence in the film directed by Siva. It’s said that Ajith refused to use a body double in the risky action scene though the crew had requested him. Soon after the accident, he was given first aid.
Kajal Agarwal, Akshara Hassan and Vivek Oberoi are also part of the cast in the film. “Believe in yourself” is the tagline of “Vivegam”,which will be released in August. After “Veeram” (2014) and “Vedhalam” (2015), “Vivegam” is the third movie in which Siva is directing Ajith.
Meanwhile, the teaser of the film had amassed more than five million views on YouTube in less than 12 hours after its release, beating the record of Rajinikanth’s Kabali, which had hit the five million views in 24 hours.
The upcoming Ajith-starrer has been creating a lot of buzz in the industry ever since it went on the floors. The filmmakers have also managed to keep that excitement around the film alive with the frequent release of the stills of Ajith from the film.
