Thiruvananthapuram: Coinciding with the Kerala Government taking the lead to plant 1 crore saplings across the state on World Environment Day, members of Prakruthi, an association of employees of various Technopark companies, Park Centre Staff, and CEOs of Technopark companies came together to plant 101 saplings near the Bhavani Building and near Yamuna building at Phase 3, thus pledging to create a greener micro climate in the campus.
Kerala IT Parks CEO Hrishikesh Nair led this green initiative by planting the first sapling.
Marking World Environment Day, Technopark also launched an initiative called Project Vyvidhyam, an initiative to plant 500 plants of 200 species on the Technopark premises. The initiative was supported by Prakruthi and State Medicinal Plants Board, Kerala. The project was launched by Radhakrishnan Nair, CEO, State Medicinal Plants Board.
