Kozhikode: Stating the government has nothing to hide, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said people can assess and give suggestions on the performance of the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in the State.
Inaugurating a State-wide culmination ceremony of first anniversary of his government at Malabar Christian College ground here, he said the LDF came out its manifesto listing 35 important issues prior to the election a year ago.
He claimed that the government was able to launch many of projects listed in its manifesto and also made remarkable progress towards ‘good governance’ after assuming office.
“Even critics of the government have admitted to the government’s achievements during its first year,” he said, adding a section of media in the State had also endorsed the progress, which would be an encouragement to it for moving ahead.
The CM said progress report of the government, which was handed over to eminent film director Ranjith at the function, evaluated its performance during the period and called upon people to offer further assessment and suggestions on the issues.
A brief documentary on the performance of the government during the period was shown prior to beginning of the function.
Ministers, people’s representatives, among others, were present at the ceremony.
