Thiruvananthapuram: The release of Prithviraj’s much-awaited film “Tiyaan” has been postponed due to certain censoring issues, it has been emerged. The film was slated for release on Thursday.
Prithviraj took to his Facebook page to inform this, and added that new releasing date will be announced soon. “#TIYAAN will not hit the theatres on 29th of June as we have hit a roadblock with the censor board. Will keep you folks updated as soon as we have a new release date confirmed. Thank you for the immense support and the excitement you’ve shown for this film. Regards, Prithvi,” he posted to his FB page.
Indrajith, Murali Gopy, Shine Tom Chacko, Ananya and Padmapriya are also feature in the movie, which has been made with a budget of Rs 20 crore.
“Tiyaan”is the third film of director Jiyen Krishnakumar, who has earlier directed films like “College Days” and “Kacnhi.”
Scripted by Murali Gopy, the film is being produced by Haneef Muhammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations. The story is set in North India as per the trailer of the movie.
