Chennithala Calls for Resignation of Mukesh, Innocent over Actress Attack Case

Kannur: Opposition Leader of Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala today demanded resignation of LDF MLAs Mukesh and Ganesh Kumar and Innocent MP for supporting actor Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the case of attack on a popular Malayalam actress.

Talking to newspersons at the guest house, Chennithala demanded to question MLA Mukesh, who had links with ‘Pulsar’ Suni, the first accused in the actress attack case.

He further sought dismissal of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), an organization of film actors of Malayalam film industry, following the support allegedly given to their treasurer Dileep.

Chennithala also gave credit to the co-prisoners, who were lodged in jail along with ‘Pulsar’ Suni to reveal the truth, which led to the arrest of Dileep under the conspiracy angle in the case.

“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was trying to divert the investigation by stating at the first stage that there was no conspiracy angle in the case. The intervention of the CM also led to delay in investigation,” he said.

However, the former Home Minister praised the police officers for arresting Dileep, saying that law will take its own course and the remaining accused in this case should be arrested soon.
