Shravan Mukesh Set to Make Acting Debut in Malayalam

Thiruvananthapuram: Actor-legislator Mukesh’s elder son Shravan Mukesh is gearing up for making his acting debut in Malayalam Cinema. “Kalyanam,”directed by Rajesh Nair, will mark the debut film of Shravan.

The puja of the movie will be held on July 16 at Mascot Hotel here at 10 am. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the function.

Shravan, 26, aka Sunny is currently working as a medical tutor in a hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. He is the son of Mukesh’s former wife and yesteryear actress Saritha, who will also attend the puja function.


Interestingly, Mukesh will essay the role of the father of the female lead in the film. The heroine, Varsha Bollamma, is also making her debut in Malayalam. Coorg-based Varsha has acted in a Tamil movie.

Varsha has became famous through her dubsmash videos. Actor Sreenivasan will don the role of Shravan’s father in the movie.

“Kalyanam,” touted to be a romantic comedy, is the third movie of Rajesh Nair after “Escape from Uganda”and “Salt Mango Tree.”

The flick has been scripted by Govind Vijay, Sumesh Madhu and Rajesh R. Nair. The shooting for the film will begin in a few days. The film also introduces a new music director, Prakash Alex.
