Bail Plea Hearing of Dileep Postponed, HC to Consider Petition on Thursday

Kochi: The High Court today postponed the hearing of the bail application submitted by actor Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the case of abduction and molestation of a young actress of Malayalam cinema. The HC will consider his bail application on Thursday.

He approached the HC after the Magistrate Court at Angamaly rejected his bail petition on Saturday. In his bail plea, Dileep maintained that he is innocent and there is no evidence against him. He stated that it is baseless that he will influence the witnesses in the case. According to him, the arrest was on the basis of suspicion.

According to reports, Dileep has got the legal advice to obtain bail before the arrest of his Manager Appunni, who is still absconding. Appunni is suspected to have tried to hand over the money for ‘quotation’ to Suni on behalf of Dileep.

Meanwhile, the police have informed that they will oppose the bail petition of Dileep in the High Court.
