Mumbai: Alia Bhatt is all set to play a Kashmiri girl in Meghna Gulzar’s “Raazi”. The Meghna Gulzar directorial will see Alia playing the role of a Kashmiri woman married to a Pakistani official (played by Vicky Kaushal) and becomes a spy for India. The film has finally gone on floors and Karan Johar took to his Twitter page to share the news.

The film will be produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions and is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel, Calling Sehmat, a thrilling saga of a spy who gave all of herself and that of her family in the service of her nation, so that all may live in peace.
Alia Bhatt was last seen in Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi. She is scheduled to begin work on Ayan Mukerji’s Dragon with Ranbir Kapoor after the actor completes filming the Sanjay Dutt biopic.
