Lecture on  ‘Know Africa’ to be Held in Capital on July 31

Thiruvananthapuram: Regional Centre of Expertise acknowledged by United Nations University (UNU RCE) will organise a lecture on the topic “Know Africa-History, Development, Science” by Prof. Mammo Muchie, Research Chair and Professor of Economics Research on Innovation (IERI) at the Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa. It will be held on July 31 at the Institute of Engineers (India) hall at 5pm.

Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) is the regional headquarters of the UNU RCE,Thiruvananthapuram.

Prof. Mammo is a founding board member of Globelics, which focuses on research on the challenges of building African innovation systems. He has promoted Africa and highlighted African Innovation and Development in Globelics foundation. He is also a visiting faculty at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

The lecture would cover areas such as Africa and its 54 countries, diverse languages, people, religions, tribes and ethnic groups, resources and strengths and major issues.
