Thiruvananthapuram: South Indian actress Priyamani will be getting married to entrepreneur Mustufa Raj on August 23 in Bengaluru. Their engagement took place on May 27 last year.
The actress and Mustufa had been in love affair for a long time. Mustufa is active in event management business. They met each other during an Indian Premier League (IPL) function.
Their close relatives and friends will attend the ceremony, which will take place in a sub-registrar office in Bengaluru.
The 33-year-old actress has acted in all the South Indian languages. She gained widespread recognition for her role as a village girl, Muththazhagu, in the Tamil film “Paruthiveeran” in 2007, for which Priyamani received National Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
In an interview to a magazine, Priyamani had said that her beau is a straight-forward person, who has a good sense of humour.
The actress revealed that her family had no issues in accepting him in the family even though he belongs to a different religion.
“Mustufa’s association with IPL is via his event management company. Priyamani had met him during a match in Bangalore a few years ago. Since then they’ve been dating and finally decided to settle down,” said a source during their engagement last year.
