Sanjay Dutt who is gearing up for his upcoming film Bhoomi, on Thursday said, he thought about Trishala and Iqra while shooting.
When Sanjay Dutt was asked about how being a real father helped him for the reel character, he said “I have been through a lot of ups and downs in my life and everything put together has always helped me in some place or other. I used to think about Trishala and Iqra (his daughters) while shooting. I also thought about Priya (Dutt) with my father because she was very close to him, and would get away with anything.”
Bhoomi’s trailer release was a surprise for Trishala’s birthday. Sanjay’s daughter sent him an audio letter to thank him for the beautiful gesture. She also wished him luck and said she is proud of him.
Bhoomi marks the actor’s big come back. According to NewsHelpline, Sanjay chose the film because “the story of this film is very emotional, I wanted my come back film to be full of emotions. I loved this story so I decided to work for Bhoomi. On the first day of shooting, I felt like I have finally come home. I was a little nervous but after the first dialogue was ok, it was easy.”
When asked why he chose this story while Sridevi’s come back film Mom also had a similar story, they are about parents protecting their kids, he said. “I know it is similar in the sense of being a protective parent, but a father protecting his daughter is something else. You have a father and he loves you the most, so there is your answer.”
Bhoomi is a revenge drama that centers on the relationship between a father and a daughter. Bhoomi was initially scheduled for release on August 4, but the makers had to push the release date to September 22. The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sidhant Gupta.
Sanjay Dutt will appear in ‘Bhoomi’ after a long break of 3 years. The actor was last seen in 2014’s ‘PK’ along with Amir Khan and Anushka Sharma.
