Kochi: DGP Loknath Behra said that he will give an explanation in the court for the allegations raised by actor Dileep in his new bail petition submitted to the High Court. Behra confirmed that Dileep had given a complaint regarding the letter sent by ‘Pulsar’ Suni, the first accused in the case of abduction bid and molestation of an actress.
He said that details including the timing of his complaint and the steps taken in his plaint will be revealed in the court. The DGP added that since this case is in the court’s consideration, he can’t reveal more about it.
It may be recalled that in his bail plea, Dileep said that he had informed DGP Loknath Behera about the threatening phone call made by Suni to Dileep from jail.
The telephonic conversation was also handed over to the DGP as WhatsApp message. Earlier, the police maintained that Dileep had hidden from police the facts about Suni’s call.
Dileep’s new revelation counters the argument of the police. Police claim was that Dileep complained only 20 days after he received Suni’s letter.
Dileep also raised serious allegations that some top personalities in the film field had conspired against him. They also equally influenced media persons, police and political leaders.
