Railways Announces Special Trains to Clear Onam Festival Rush

Bengaluru: South Western Railway (SWR) will run a tatkal special train from Yesvantpur to Kochuveli and back to clear extra rush during Onam festival.

A SWR release here today said, train (No: 06575) Yesvantpur-Kochuveli will depart Yesvantpur at 15.20 hrs on September 1 and reach Kochuveli at 06.50 hrs the next day.

On return journey on September 2, train (No: 06576) Kochuveli-Yesvantpur will leave Kochuveli at 12.40 hrs and reach Yesvantpur at 04.30 hrs the next day.

The train will have stoppages at Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Kayamkulam and Kollam on both the directions.

The train Composition will have Two AC 3-tier coaches, 19 Second Class Sleeper coaches and Two Luggage-cum-Brake Van with disabled- friendly compartment.

Trains from Chennai

The Chennai Central-Ernakulam Jn special fare special train (No.06006) will leave Chennai Central on September 8, 15, 22 and 29 (Fridays) and return (No. 060006) from Ernakulam Jn on September 10, 17, 24 and October 1(Sundays).

The Nanded-Ernakulam special fare train (No. 07505) will leave Nanded at 7.10am on Friday and reach Ernakulam Jn at 2pm on Saturday.

In the return direction, the train (No.07504) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11pm on Monday and reach Nanded at 6.30am on Wednesday.
