Thiruvananthapuram: The filming for actress Priyamani’s new Malayalam film “Ashiq Vanna Divasam” has begun in Kochi. Written and directed by Krish Kaimal, actor Nasser Lathif is the producer of the movie under the banner of Peanut International.
Nasser Lathif, Kanchanamma, Kalasala Babu, Irshad, Kalabhavan Haneef, Baby Piya and Master Dupath also feature in the film. Mathew Pulikkal is the music composer.
Krish Kaimal, who cranks the camera for this film, has directed the movie “Olapeeppi” earlier. This film is Priyamani’s first film in Malayalam after her marriage with Mustafa Raj on August 23 in Bengaluru.
Priyamani got engaged to Mustafa on May 27, 2016, at a private ceremony at her residence in Bengaluru. Sharing the news with her fans, she had said then in a social media post: Happy to announce that Mustufa Raj and I got engaged on Friday the 27th at a close and private function at home!
The vivacious actress has worked in a number of South Indian films. She made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with Mani Ratnam’s Raavan in which she starred with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and actor Abhishek Bachchan.
Bengaluru-based Priyamani won the National Film Award in Best Actress category in 2007 for her work in Tamil film Paruthiveeran.
