CPM Trying to Disrupt Sree Krishna Jayanti Processions: Organisers

Kozhikode: Aimed at appeasing terror elements, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), heading the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala, is attempting to disrupt Sree Krishna Jayanti (celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna) by Balagokulam in the State on September 12, Hindu Aikyavedi today alleged.

Talking to reporters here, Aikyavedi Secretaries Sasi Kammattari and K. Shynu said this was evident from declaration of the party to take out processions from 210 centres in neighbouring Kannur district alone.

“Earlier, they had disrupted the processions of Balagokulam on the pretext of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti and Chattambiswamy Jayanti celebrations in that district. Police department under the LDF government denied permission to Balagokulam to take out processions in Kannur, even after submitting application for permission for the purpose, with the intention of satisfying people of other religions,” they said.

“Participated by people cutting across political affiliations, the Balagokulam has been celebrating the Jayanti across the State with pomp and gaiety during the last 40 years,” the organisers added.
