Ramaleela

Dileep Starrer “Ramaleela” in Cinemas on Sept. 28

Thiruvananthapuram: After facing various hurdles, actor Dileep’s delayed film “Ramaleela” will reach the cinemas on September 28. Dileep’s arrest on July 10 in connection with his alleged involvement in the conspiracy in the sexual assault of a Malayalam actress had caused a stumble block for the film’s release.

Dileep appears as a politician in this movie. Dileep will don the character named Ramannunni who ends up becoming a politician because of unforeseen incidents in his life.

Produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam under the banner of Mulakuppadam Films, the movie is directed by debutant Arun Gopy.  Tomichan produces the film after the humongous success of “Pulimurugan.”

South Indian actress Radhika Sarathkumar makes a comeback to Malayalam through this film after a hiatus. She will be seen playing the mother of Dileep.

“Ramleela” also stars Vijaya Raghavan, Sai Kumar, Kalabhavan Shajon, Siddique, Mukesh and Suresh Krishna in pivotal roles. Prayaga Martin is the female lead in the movie.

Shaji Kumar is the cinematographer of this political thriller. Writer-director Sachy is the screenwriter. Gopi Sunder gives tunes to the lines penned by Harinarayanan. Vivek Harshan is the editor.

The delay in the release had posed questions on the future of this big budget film’s director Arun Gopy. Earlier, it was announced that the film will be released on July 21.
