Kochi: The Kerala High Court today ordered actor-director Nadirshah to appear before the investigation team for interrogation on September 15. He has to appear before the investigative officer Perumbavoor CI at 10am. The court issued the order while considering his bail petition in the actress assault case.
The HC also postponed the hearing of his bail petition to September 18. Meanwhile, the HC slammed the investigation team for prolonging the probe.
The court asked if the investigation in the case is a screenplay. The HC asked the police whether they are quizzing each accused every month, and queried why do the police oppose the anticipatory bail plea of Nadirshah if he is not an accused in this case?
The court also sought explanation regarding the news about the questioning of ‘Pulsar’ Suni by the police in the charge-sheeted case.
The Director General of Prosecution, Manjeri Sreedharan Nair, who appeared for the police in the HC, said that the investigation into the case would be completed within two weeks.
Meanwhile, actor Dileep’s lawyer B. Raman Pillai informed that his bail plea will be filed on September 14. The actor has been in jail for the last two months in connection with the case of sexual assault and abduction bid on a Malayalam actress.
He has been suspected of the man behind the conspiracy. This is the third time the actor approaches the Kerala High Court seeking bail in the case. The actor was arrested on July 10.
