Kavya Madhavan to Move HC for Anticipatory Bail: Reports

Kochi: Actress Kavya Madhavan is likely to approach the Kerala High Court for anticipatory bail in connection with the actress assault case. According to media reports, the bail petition will be submitted through lawyer B. Raman Pillai, who is also the lawyer of Dileep in this case.

Since the investigation into the case is nearing its final stages, Kavya is foreseeing the possibility of arrest, the reports added.

Meanwhile, the hearing in the bail petition of actor Dileep is being held in the Angamaly Magistrate Court today.

The actor has been in jail for the last two months in connection with the case of sexual assault and abduction bid on a Malayalam actress. He has been suspected of the man behind the conspiracy.

In his bail petition, Dileep claimed that since the vital part of the investigation is nearing completion and he has completed 60 days in jail, he deserves bail.

He also assured the court that he will cooperate with the investigation. The court will consider the bail petition on September 16.

The actor also pointed out that he has strictly followed the directions of the Angamaly Magistrate Court during the two-hour permission given by the court to perform the rituals of his father’s shraadham.
