Thiruvananthapuram: The 22nd International Film Festival of Kerala will pay homage to eminent directors I.V Sasi and K R Mohanan , who passed away this year.
The makers of the films that presented whole new dimensions of society and social commitment will be remembered at an event on December 9th, at the Sree Theatre Complex.
P. V Gangadharan, T. V Chandran, K. P Kumaran, V. K Sreeraman, Satyan Anthikad, and Seema will attend the function to be held at 6 PM.
I V Sasi’s ‘Aaroodam’, ‘1921’, ‘Aalkkoottathil Thaniye’, ‘Mrugaya’, ‘Itha Ivide Vare’, and K. R Mohanan’s ‘Ashwathama’, ‘Purushartham’, and ‘Swaroopam’ will be screened.
Distribution of Passes
The delegate cell inauguration and the distribution of the passes for the International Film Festival of Kerala commence by 11 AM on Wednesday, at the Tagore Theatre, in Vazhuthacaud.
As many as 14 counters for distributing the passes for the fete, showcasing 190 flicks from 65 nations, have been set up. Arrangements have been made to make the distribution process smooth and convenient for the delegates. The counters will be open till 7 P.M. The delegates shall collect their passes, by providing their identity cards with photo proof.
The media passes will be distributed from the 7th of December, for which special counters have been set up. The official proceedings had been postponed owing to the circumstances that arose due to the Ockhi cyclone.
